Senior IT Project Manager – Cloud, AI & M365

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior IT Project Manager to lead multiple enterprise technology initiatives involving cloud services, Microsoft 365, Artificial Intelligence (AI), and IT infrastructure modernization.

The successful candidate will manage projects from analysis and planning through implementation, working closely with business and technical stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with organizational objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate multiple complex IT projects from initiation through implementation.

• Develop project charters, project plans, schedules, budgets, resource plans, milestones, and delivery strategies.

• Manage project scope, timelines, resources, dependencies, risks, issues, and governance.

• Lead cloud-based, M365, AI, infrastructure, and enterprise technology initiatives.

• Identify, analyze, and manage risks associated with large and complex projects.

• Coordinate business requirements, solution delivery, implementation, and project documentation.

• Work with business and IT leadership to define project objectives, scope, assumptions, benefits, timelines, and resource requirements.

• Manage relationships with project sponsors, technical teams, vendors, and senior stakeholders.

• Prepare and present project status reports, recommendations, risks, and deliverables to leadership and steering committees.

• Lead stakeholder meetings and facilitate decision-making across business and technical teams.

• Support change management, communications, User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and implementation readiness.

• Ensure project solutions consider applicable security controls, policies, processes, architecture, and governance requirements.

• Support continuous improvement, lessons learned, and project closeout activities.

Requirements

Mandatory Qualifications

• PMP certification.

• Minimum 10 years of experience developing and managing project schedules.

• Minimum 10 years of experience identifying, analyzing, and managing risks on large, complex projects.

• Minimum 5 years of experience implementing large-scale cloud-based projects and services.

• Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure environments, including hardware, software, applications, cloud platforms, and enterprise architectures.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills with demonstrated ability to work with technical teams and senior stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

• 10+ years developing and delivering complex IT projects.

• 7+ years working with organizational policies, processes, and procedures and understanding their impact on technology initiatives.

• 5+ years leading and facilitating meetings with stakeholders at multiple organizational levels.

• 5+ years leading large-scale projects/programs using Agile and Waterfall methodologies.

• 5+ years working with security controls within project solutions and designs.

• 5+ years of experience with process improvement, documentation, and requirements gathering.

• Experience with Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity Planning.

• 2+ years of experience implementing Artificial Intelligence (AI) projects or solutions.

• 7+ years of experience within a public-sector environment.
