micro1 is selecting Computer & Information Systems Managers to contribute expertise to a customer initiative focused on technology management and project leadership. In this role, you'll apply your expertise to help train next-generation AI systems. Your work will shape how models learn, reason, and perform through high-quality, real-world input. No prior experience in AI is required — your domain knowledge is what matters. This opportunity centers on planning and executing a limited-scope technology initiative, coordinating with an external vendor, and communicating project status to diverse stakeholders. The engagement requires strong team coordination, hands-on vendor oversight, and clear reporting over multi-quarter timeframes.

Scope of Work

1. Develop comprehensive project plans for focused technology initiatives, outlining timelines, deliverables, and resource allocation.
2. Coordinate and oversee activities with external vendors, ensuring vendor deliverables meet established service-level agreements (SLAs).
3. Guide and support project participants, fostering effective collaboration and resolving conflicts to keep the initiative on track.
4. Monitor project progress, proactively identifying risks and facilitating timely decision-making.
5. Deliver concise, actionable reports on status, risks, and outcomes to key stakeholders, both in written and verbal formats.
6. Uphold quality standards across all phases of the project, ensuring objectives are met within scope and constraints.
7. Contribute real-world insights and feedback to support the continuous improvement of AI models trained on technology management scenarios.

Preferred Qualifications

1. 6+ years leading multi-quarter technology initiatives with full cycle ownership, including planning, vendor coordination, and results delivery.
2. Demonstrated expertise in team management, cross-functional leadership, and conflict resolution within complex projects.
3. Proven track record of successful vendor management and negotiation, particularly with external technology providers.
4. Strong familiarity with establishing, monitoring, and enforcing SLAs and reporting on vendor performance.
5. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to distill complex progress updates for technical and non-technical stakeholders.
6. Experience producing clear, actionable project documentation and executive-level reports.
7. Background in contributing to or leading projects where insights informed process improvements or technology adoption decisions.
